An observant person tipped off a Redding motorcycle shop, allowing the recovery of a large haul of stolen vehicles. In the past couple of months there’s been a series of commercial burglaries in the Larkspur Lane area, most recently a theft on December 1st from Lee’s Honda of two dirt bikes, an ATV, a side-by-side and a trailer. The combined value of the items was around $60,000. That same day, someone contacted the owners of Lee’s Honda and told them they had seen their goods at a storage unit on Airport Road. The owners headed to the location along with Redding Police and CHP Officers and recovered their stuff. A search of the area revealed more stolen property from other Larkspur Lane burglaries. Evidence at the scene led police to 31-year-old Matthew Watson and 26-year-old Charlie Patterson. They were both located in the past week and arrested.
