APD: Robbery Suspect Dies From Drug Overdose

An Anderson robbery suspect has apparently died of a drug overdose before police could arrest her. On the afternoon of November 28th, a woman armed with a knife demanded money from the cash register at Sally’s Beauty Supply in Anderson. Physical evidence was found and submitted to the State Department of Justice Lab to be analyzed for fingerprints. Meanwhile, an Anderson Police investigation led to the driver of a car who had dropped the suspect off there but had no knowledge of the robbery. That led to an identification of a suspect, and police began staking out locations where she was known to frequent. She was never spotted and on Monday it was learned that the woman had died of a possible drug overdose. Her identify has not been released.
