Man Arrested For DUI After Crash Kills 2 In Red Bluff

A man was arrested for driving under the influence after a crash left two people dead in Tehama County on Wednesday morning. The crash was reported at about 8:15AM on Highway 36 near Tuscan Avenue in Red Bluff. The CHP says that 26-year-old Ryan Cantrell was driving a Ford sedan south on Highway 36 at a high rate of speed when he allowed the car to go off the road. The car hit a ditch and went airborne before it crashed into a tree. The CHP says that two people in the vehicle were killed and 3rd person was taken to the hospital with major injuries. The CHP arrested Cantrell on suspicion of driving under the influence.
