Shipments of the Pfizer vaccine have arrived in Shasta County. The 1,950 doses were delivered to Mercy Medical Center on Tuesday and are being stored in the hospitals sub-zero freezers. The 1st doses will be distributed to other acute facilities in the coming days and any future deliveries will also be be distributed directly to acute care facilities in the the county. Public health says that about 350 more doses of the Pfizer vaccine are expected to be delivered, and about 2000 doses of the Moderna vaccine should arrive next week.
