The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of an inmate at their jail. At 9 O’clock Sunday morning 47-year-old Alan Gene Gibson Jr. of Happy Camp was found unresponsive in bed in his cell. He could not be revived. Detectives say there were no obvious signs of foul play or acts of violence that could have caused his death. An autopsy is set for this week.
