Oroville Man Faces Felony Charges After Fatal Hit-And-Run

A man was arrested in Oroville over the weekend for a deadly hit-and-run. At 9 O’clock Sunday morning, Oroville Police and medical personnel were called to Nelson and Fogg Avenues, where they found 57-year-old Justin Neva of Berry Creek dead on the sidewalk. Witnesses said the driver of the car that hit him had fled on foot. A short time later, 30-year-old Andrew Arrietta called police to provide his location and he was picked up and arrested. Neva had apparently been standing next to his parked pickup and trailer when Arrietta struck it and pushed it into Neva. Arrietta is charged with felony hit-and-run causing death.
