Drug Runners Stopped On I-5 Sentenced To Prison

Two men have been sentenced for trying to smuggle a very large quantity of very hard drugs through Tehama County. 59-year-old Carlos Orozco Sanchez and 51-year-old Hector Carrillo were stopped by the CHP on Northbound Interstate 5 on August 25th. A search of the car revealed 10.5 Pounds of Methamphetamine and 2.5 Pounds of Heroin. Both men admitted that they had been paid to deliver the drugs to Oregon. Carrillo has been sentenced to 4 years in state prison. Sanchez, who is also a registered sex offender who failed to register for two years, has been sentenced to 8 years in state prison.
