Pilot Uninjured After Crash Landing At Red Bluff Airport

A small single engine airplane crashed upon landing at Red Bluff Municipal Airport Sunday night. At around 6 O’clock, an unidentified pilot was attempting a landing in the Steerman Biplane when the left wheel touched down first, causing the plane to bounce and the left wing hit the ground. That flipped the aircraft upside down and it came to rest on its top. When Red Bluff Fire and Police and an ambulance arrived, the pilot was standing outside the plane uninjured. Federal aviation officials will investigate.
