New COVID Cases Continue To Decline In Shasta County

COVID-19 has not been defeated yet and people are urged to continue precautions, but the situation is getting week by week.Shasta County had 35 new cases reported from Friday and Saturday, along with 1,488 negative tests. The county death toll remains at 179. The total number of cases so far is 11,137. An estimated 133 people have the virus right now, 11 of them hospitalized and 4 in intensive care.

Tehama County has reported 5,136 cases and 52 deaths.
There have been 375 cases and 5 deaths in Trinity County.
1,804 have been reported in Siskiyou County with 14 deaths.
Butte County has reported 169 deaths among their 10,868 cases.
Lassen County has had 22 deaths among their 2,033 cases in the community and 2 deaths among the 3,596 cases in prison.
Humboldt County has had 3,308 cases and 33 deaths.
Modoc County has had 460 cases and 4 deaths.

The CDC says fully vaccinated people could gather in groups without masks or social distancing. Vaccinated people could also come together in the same way with people considered at low risk for severe disease. The CDC says people are not considered “fully vaccinated” until two weeks after receiving the last required dose of vaccine.
