3 COVID Death’s Reported Tuesday In Shasta County

After several days of no covid deaths in Shasta County, another 3 have been reported from Tuesday, bringing the total to 182. The latest to die were a man in his 50’s and a man and woman in their 80’s. 23 new cases have been reported, and 833 negative tests. The updated total number of cases so far is 11,149. An estimated 116 people have the virus right now, 8 of them hospitalized and 3 in intensive care.

Shasta County remains in the red tier of restrictions with a daily case rate of 5.9 per 100,000 residents.

Workers in restaurants, grocery stores and food banks are now eligible to receive vaccine.

Several first dose and second dose vaccination clinics are set for the next few weeks. Information is available at shastaready.org under “Vaccinations”.

Johnson and Johnson vaccines are being reserved for remote or isolated people because only one shot is needed.

Tehama County has reported 5,146 cases and 52 deaths.
There have been 375 cases and 5 deaths in Trinity County.
1,823 have been reported in Siskiyou County with 14 deaths.
Butte County has reported 170 deaths among their 10,882 cases.
Lassen County has had 22 deaths among their 2,033 cases in the community and 2 deaths among the 3,596 cases in prison.
Humboldt County has had 3,326 cases and 34 deaths.
Modoc County has had 463 cases and 4 deaths.
