Effort To Recall Tehama County Supervisors Fails To Get Enough Signatures

Efforts to recall two Tehama County Supervisors have failed miserably, according to the Corning Observer. District 4 Supervisor Bob Williams and District 3 Supervisor Dennis Garton were both targeted by recall organizers. Getting the question onto a ballot would require petitions to be signed by 25% of registered voters in each of the districts. That would be 2,100 in Garton’s district, which got only 285 and 1,600 in Williams’ district, which got only 82. The recall committee is now refocusing their efforts on finding worthy candidates to oppose the two supervisors in the regular election in 2022.
