Police chased two alleged car thieves into an East Redding big box store. At 1:15PM Saturday afternoon, two RPD Officers saw a Dodge pickup at Hartnell and Alfreda that had been reported stolen. The occupants saw them too, and fled north on Reservoir towards East Cypress. As officers searched around, witnesses reported seeing the pickup pulling into the Lowes parking lot, and the two occupants flee inside. 40-year-old Candice Brun and 31-year-old Patrick Brooks were found and identified by the witnesses. Brun was arrested for car theft and brooks, who had an Airsoft pistol in his waistband, was arrested for a parole violation.
