K9 Helps Deputies Arrest Wanted Man After Chase In Cottonwood

A wanted Redding man was chased down in Cottonwood on Friday. At 11:30AM a sheriff’s deputy at 4th Street and Balls Ferry Road passed a BMW and recognized the driver as 35-year-old Timothy Jack Parker Jr. Knowing he had four outstanding felony warrants, the deputy made a U-turn. Parker sped away and ran a stop sign as the deputy chased him for about a mile until the BMW stopped and Parker took off on foot into the Amberwood Mobile Home Park on Trefoil Lane. A witness pointed deputies to a nearby backyard and Fritz the K9 followed a trail to a garden shed. Parker was ordered out and he quickly surrendered.
