Supervisors Vote Down Effort To Abandon State’s COVID-19 Tier System

Shasta County will remain under the state guidelines for Coronavirus restrictions. The county does not have the authority to do otherwise, but in a purely symbolic action, the Shasta County Board of Supervisors Tuesday discussed abandoning the state’s blueprint for a safer economy, along with it’s color-coded tier system of restrictions. The board struck down the resolution by a 3 to 2 vote.
