A sobriety checkpoint will be conducted by Redding Police Thursday evening between the hours of 6PM and 11PM. The location is not publicly disclosed, but it will be somewhere within Redding City Limits at a location with a history of DUI crashes and arrests. Officers trained to quickly detect impairment by alcohol or drugs will be at the checkpoint. The average overall cost of a DUI is $13,500 plus a suspended license.
