The first big Northstate wildfire of the season is burning in Siskiyou County. Sunday night the Refuge Fire was reported to be 873 acres and 50% contained. Strong winds were preventing crews from getting a line around the fire. It’s located off of Lower Klamath Lake Road on the open plains about 7 miles west of Tulelake.
