A brush fire was kept from spreading to homes in West Redding Tuesday afternoon. Just after 4 O’clock the fire was reported by multiple callers in an area near Moyvane Drive in the Mary Lake Neighborhood. It was stopped in about 15 minutes and held to less than an acre by Redding Fire Department. Mop-up took about an hour and a half. Iit was determined to be human caused, though the specific cause is still under investigation.
