3.0 Magnitude Quake Shakes Shingletown Late Wednesday

Dozens of people reported feeling a small earthquake east of Redding Wednesday night. The U.S. Geological Survey says a magnitude 3.0 struck about 9 miles west of Shingletown at 11:03PM. It was fairly shallow, at 1.6 miles underground. There were 55 citizen reports about the quake to the U,S.G.S. website.
