Anyone 16 & Older Now Eligible For Pfizer Vaccine

A Shasta County man in his 40s has died from covid. He’s the county’s 208th coronavirus fatality. Another 18 covid cases have been confirmed, along with 882 negative tests. The total number of cases so far is 11,399. An estimated 111 people have the virus right now, 9 of them hospitalized and 2 in intensive care.

The CDC says fully vaccinated people can travel within the U.S. without getting a COVID test or going into quarantine.

Anyone age 50 and older can get the vaccine. Starting on Monday anyone 16 and older is eligible for the Pfizer vaccine. Appointments can be made at shastaready.org.

Tehama County has reported 5,324 cases and 54 deaths.
There have been 392 cases and 5 deaths in Trinity County.
1,885 have been reported in Siskiyou County with 16 deaths.
Butte County has reported 178 deaths among their 11,138 cases.
Lassen County has had 22 deaths among their 2,059 cases in the community and 2 deaths among the 3,594 cases in prison.
Humboldt County has had 3,492 cases and 36 deaths.
Modoc County has had 474 cases and 4 deaths.
