A fire burning in a remote area of the Klamath National Forest in Siskyiou County is nearly contained. The Elk Fire is 98%, and crews are reporting that crews have constructed a fireline around the fire. The Forest Service says that it has burned 48 acres in a rugged area southeast of Happy Camp.
