Travelers on Highway 299 between Redding and the coast this week will want to plan their travels to avoid some extended scheduled closures. Maintenance is being done on three bridges, including jacking and bearing pad replacement, and no traffic can be allowed during that process. On Monday, it’ll be east of Burnt Ranch near Cedar Flat, then Wednesday and Friday east of Salyer. The closure times each of those 3 days will be 8 to 9AM and 1 to 2PM.
