1 Death, 30 New COVID-19 Cases Reported Monday In Shasta County

A man in his 70s has become Shasta County’s 214th coronavirus death. Another 30 cases have been reported from Friday and Saturday, for a total of 11,539. There were also 1,544 negative tests. An estimated 94 people have the virus right now, 4 people are hospitalized and 2 are in intensive care.

Vaccine is free of charge and any Shasta County resident 16 and older is eligible for the Pfizer vaccine.Parents must be present to vaccinate anyone younger than 18. Details can be found at shastaready.org.

Tehama County has reported 5,393 cases and 56 deaths.
There have been 397 cases and 5 deaths in Trinity County.
1,899 have been reported in Siskiyou County with 19 deaths.
Butte County has reported 181 deaths among their 11,295 cases.
Lassen County has had 22 deaths among their 2,073 cases in the community and 2 deaths among the 3,593 cases in prison.
Humboldt County has had 3,553 cases and 36 deaths.
Modoc County has had 487 cases and 4 deaths.

74 Million people, or 22% of the U.S. population, have completed their COVID-19 vaccination.

The average for daily new cases in the U.S. rose over the past two weeks from 63,236 on to 70,040.
