250 Pairs Of Jeans Donated For Victims Of Domestic Violence

A denim drive underway by the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office has gotten a major boost. Jeans are being collected to donate to survivors of sexual violence through “One Safe Place”, Shasta County’s domestic violence shelter. The jeans are also being collected to bring attention to a notorious Italian Supreme Court case in which the justices ruled that a rape victim must have helped her assailant undress her because her pants were so tight. Donations to the program have far exceeded expectations, and in the last few days the family of 15-month-old Jax Clark donated 250 pairs of jeans. Donations can be dropped off at the D.A.’s Office.
