Man Sentenced To 14 Years In Prison For Multiple Offenses

A 31-year-old Redding man has been given a lengthy prison sentence after admitting to crimes committed while awaiting court for previous crimes. Last April Nicholas Dillon hall fired multiple Shotgun rounds through his own front door on Lanning Avenue because he thought someone was outside. Inside the apartment officers found three young children, three loaded guns, and Methamphetamine. In July Hall committed a carjacking on one of his neighbors using a replica of a Glock handgun. Following another child endangerment incident in October, Hall pleaded guilty in December to several felony charges from the various incidents. While awaiting sentencing Hall was caught stealing from another Lanning Avenue neighbor in February, and had brandished a knife at yet another burglary victim. He was chased on foot and, after searching for over an hour with officers on foot, a police drone, a CHP helicopter and Chase the K9, Hall was found by the dog hiding between some thick bushes and the wall of a home. On Tuesday Hall admitted to the entire set of offenses and he was immediately sentenced to over 14 years in state prison.
