Tehama County officials have identified a man who was killed on Interstate Five south of Cottonwood a couple of weeks ago, according to the Corning Observer. It was 11:40PM and it’s not clear why 74-year-old Hans Buschhaus was walking on the freeway. He was near Sunset Hills Drive when he stepped into one of the southbound lanes and was struck by a Honda Civic driven by Adrienne Randall of Forest Grove, Oregon. Buschhaus was declared dead at the scene.
