A South Redding house was heavily damaged by fire early Sunday morning. Redding Fire Department was called at 3:37AM. They arrived at the house off Westside Road between Kenyon and Branstetter to find all 4 occupants had made it out unharmed. The house was well involved with fire. It took about a half hour to contain and another 2-and-a-half hours for mop-up and salvage. There was major fire damage to about 50% of the house, with loss estimated at $75,000 to the house and another $10,000 worth of contents. The cause is under investigation.
