What’s suspected of being a street race in Oroville Thursday has ended in tragedy. Just before Noon, a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Chevy Camaro were racing southbound on Lincoln Boulevard when the Cherokee driver turned onto Baggets Marysville Road, swerved off the pavement, struck a stop sign and a utility pole, and then rolled over. The driver of the Camaro fled. Two men in the Jeep were killed in the crash. Two children were ejected and one of them, a 2-year-old girl, died of her injuries Thursday night.
