60-Year-Old Man Dies In Motorcycle Crash On Highway 44

A motorcyclist heading into Downtown Redding died after falling from a bridge Sunday afternoon. At around 2:35M, a 2009 Harley-Davidson was westbound on Highway 44 and had passed the Auditorium Drive overpass when, for unknown reasons, the rider lost control. The bike hit the guardrail at the Continental Street underpass and the rider was ejected, flying over the railing and landing on the street below. The unidentified 60-year-old man was declared dead at the scene. Witnesses are asked to call the CHP at 225-0500.
