A traffic stop in East Redding turned into a weapons bust early Sunday morning. Just before 3AM a car was pulled over on Hartnell Avenue at Northwoods Way next to Parsons School. As the officer walked up to the car he could see the butt of a gun in a bag between the passenger’s legs. The passenger, 19-year-old Jacob Morrow, and the driver, a juvenile, were detained and the car was searched. The gun was an unregistered, loaded short barreled assault rifle. Officers say they also found two unregistered loaded pistols within reach of both the driver and passenger, both of whom were arrested.
