With the arrival of Summer comes expanded hours for Whiskeytown National Recreation Area. The park is in a long steady recovery from the devastation of the Carr Fire in 2018, but many more areas have become accessible. Brandy Creek Beach parking lots are now open every day from 9AM to 10PM. No dogs or alcohol are allowed at Brandy Creek Beach or at Oak Bottom Beach across the lake. Smoking at Whiskeytown is only allowed within designated areas in those two parking lots.
