Man Charged With Assaulting Employees At Redding Jack In The Box

A 32-year-old man was arrested by Redding Police Tuesday after reportedly threatening some fast food employees. Officers were called at 9:15AM to the Jack-In-The-Box at Cypress and Hilltop. Nicholas Tyler Minks had reportedly been loitering outside, undressing and acting in a bizarre manner, so several employees went out and asked him to leave. They say he threatened to harm them and pulled out two knives as he ran at them. The employees retreated, apparently getting inside and locking the door just in time. Minks reportedly kicked the glass front door, threw items at the windows and slashed at the windows with his knives. Arriving officers found Minks behind a nearby business and he was booked into jail on several assault-related charges.
