Man Who Shot Through Door At Rolling Hills Casino Sentenced To 15 Years

A man has been sentenced for a shooting that wounded a man at Rolling Hills Casino in Corning. Last December 5th, Tehama County Deputies, Corning Police and the CHP responded to the casino on reports of a shooting victim. After a brief investigation, they determined that 36-year-old John Matthew Justice Jr. had walked out of his hotel room and fired a single shot through the door of another room. Inside that room a couple was looking through their peephole wondering about the man with a gun acting strangely. The small caliber bullet came through the door and struck the 36-year-old man, who was transported to a hospital with a non-life threatening injury to his chest. Justice has been sentenced to 15 years in state prison.
