Man Who Shot Two People At Red Bluff Trailer Park Sentenced

A man has been sentenced in Tehama County for a pair of shooting incidents at a Red Bluff trailer park. On the night of January 23rd, Luis Mercado Montalvo of Orland was parked in front of the Homewood Mobile Home Park on Belle Mill Road when 29-year-old Jerry Julian Anaya walked up to him with a gun and fired multiple rounds. One bullet struck Montalvo in his left leg. He drove himself to a hospital and was later discharged. The second incident was three nights later, when 38-year-old Dana Brown was shot multiple times in the torso and head. He was hospitalized in critical condition, but he has apparently recovered and moved away. Anaya has been sentenced to 9 years in state prison.
