Shasta County Reports 2 More COVID-19 Deaths

After a two week run of no Coronavirus deaths in Shasta County, 2 more were reported from Thursday for a total of 228. There were another 30 confirmed cases and 820 negative tests, for a total so far of 12,319 cases. An estimated 163 people have the virus right now, 13 are hospitalized and 1 is in intensive care.

 

Vaccine is now available in Shasta County for children as young as 12, with parental consent. Pfizer vaccine clinics are being held at the Redding Senior Center on Benton Drive Friday’s through Tuesdays from 10AM to 7PM, closed for lunch from 2PM to 3PM. Walk-ins will be welcome or appointments can be made at myturn.ca.gov . Vaccines are free of charge for everyone. No vaccinated person in Shasta County has died from COVID-19, or from the vaccine.

 

Tehama County has reported 5,590 cases and 59 deaths.
There have been 407 cases and 5 deaths in Trinity County.
2,301 have been reported in Siskiyou County with 27 deaths.
Butte County has reported 187 deaths among their 11,935 cases.
Lassen County has had 22 deaths among their 2,127 cases in the community and 2 deaths among the 3,594 cases in prison.
Humboldt County has had 4,198 cases and 42 deaths.
Modoc County has had 506 cases and 4 deaths.
