Siskiyou Sheriff Asking For Help Bulldozing Large Cannabis Grows

The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office is making an unprecedented request for heavy equipment owners to help them bulldoze and bury large quantities of cannabis that apparently are overwhelming the county’s ability to process. During a recent two-day operation, mostly conducted within the Mount Shasta Vistas area, 143 separate greenhouses containing nearly 51,000 growing cannabis plants were demolished. The sheriff’s office did not say if any associated arrests were made, or if any money or processed cannabis was seized. The request for civilian dozers and excavators, and the trained operators of the equipment, is expected on a strictly volunteered and donated basis, with no remittance offered.
