The Whiskeytown beach bus is back, and now it’s free. Redding Area Bus Authority will launch the service on Thursday, in a partnership with Healthy Shasta, the Shasta Regional Transportation Agency and the Park Service. The bus service will operate Thursday, Friday and Saturday through the summertime, and will make stops at the Downtown Transit Center, Buenaventura at Eureka Way, Old Shasta and Brandy Creek Beach.
