An arrest has been made for a hit and run collision that left a bicyclist dead Tuesday in West Cottonwood. At 11:05AM an unidentified man was found deceased on the shoulder of the westbound lane of Gas Point Road east of Happy Valley Road. He and his bicycle both showed signs of being struck by a red vehicle. Information provided by the public led to Wednesday’s arrest of 26-year-old Victoria McDaniel of Cottonwood. The CHP says she was driving a red Dodge Ram 3500. She was taken into custody at around 7AM Wednesday morning and booked into jail for felony hit-and-run and misdemeanor manslaughter. The name of the victim has not yet been released.
