RPD: Woman Arrested After Spray Painting On Downtown Substation

A woman who had a beef with Redding Police apparently expressed herself by spray painting obscene messages on the new Downtown Redding Substation. At 8:30PM Wednesday evening, video surveillance showed the vandalism being carried out on the windows of the station, located upstairs in Foundry Square on California Street. Damage is estimated at over $1,000, making it a felony. Officers viewed the video and identified the woman as 48-year-old Stephanie Harrison. She had recently made an online report to Redding Police but they rejected it, saying it was not a police issue. She responded with a crude email Wednesday evening, and then apparently delivered the message in person on the windows. Harrison was arrested Thursday morning.
