Shasta County Vaccinates Nearly 49,000 Residents

Shasta County’s covid death toll remains at 230. Another 26 cases have been reported as well as 598 negative tests, for a total so far of 12,446 cases. An estimated 83 people have the virus right now; 18 are hospitalized and 6 are in intensive care.

Around 48,800 Shasta County residents have been fully vaccinated.

It can be taken care of quickly and easily during an evening drive-through clinic at Public Health on Breslauer Way next Wednesday from 6PM to 8:30PM. They’ll administer a second dose of the Pfizer vaccine for those who got the first dose before May 20th and they’ll also be giving the one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Shasta Community Health Center is giving away Shasta District Fair tickets with vaccinations, while supplies last.

There have been 411 cases and 5 deaths in Trinity County.
2,370 have been reported in Siskiyou County with 33 deaths.
Butte County has reported 190 deaths among their 12,061 cases.
Lassen County has had 22 deaths among their 2,153 cases in the community and 2 deaths among the 3,595 cases in prison.
Humboldt County has had 4,339 cases and 44 deaths.
Modoc County has had 516 cases and 4 deaths.
