Another large indoor cannabis cultivation business is proposed for south Redding. It would be located on vacant land on Cedars Road south of Branstetter, and consist of three buildings, one of them 40,000 square feet, another almost 20,000 and another almost 50,000. There’s nothing growing there except weeds, and the oak trees along the street would be preserved. Cannabis cultivation is a tightly controlled business with a lot of special requirements, including ventilation systems to control odors. A permit will be considered during a Redding Planning Commission meeting Tuesday at 4 o’clock.
