Cal-Fire Plans 900 Acre Controlled Burn Near Dairyville

A fairly large controlled rangeland burn is planned for this week in Tehama County. Cal-Fire in partnership with the Nature Conservancy will torch 915 acres of grasses off of Foothill Road in the Dairyville area. If weather permits, the burning will take place Wednesday and Thursday from 10AM to 5PM. The goal is to try and control invasive weeds like Medusa Head and Star Thistle, and thus make the land better for cattle grazing.
