Drive-Through Vaccine Clinic Planned For Wednesday Evening

There were no additional Covid deaths reported in Shasta County from Friday or Saturday. The county’s Covid death toll remains at 230. Another 27 cases were reported, for a total so far of 12,494 cases. There were also 1,305 negative tests. An estimated 91 people have the virus right now; 16 are hospitalized and 5 are in intensive care.

Covid vaccines are free, safe and have been tested hundreds of millions of times. Getting vaccinated against COVID-19 is very easy on a walk-in basis with no wait, or by appointment at myturn.ca.gov. It can be taken care of quickly and easily during an evening drive-through clinic at Public Health on Breslauer Way Wednesday from 6PM to 8:30PM. They’ll administer a second dose of the Pfizer vaccine for those who got the first dose before May 20th and they’ll also be giving the one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Humboldt County has had 4,382 cases and 46 deaths.
