230 Shasta County residents have died of COVID-19. Another 32 cases have been reported from Sunday and Monday, as well as 208 negative tests. There’s been a total so far of 12,526 confirmed cases. An estimated 98 people have the virus right now; 16 are hospitalized and 4 are in intensive care. Shasta County is one of only 3 counties statewide that remain in the red tier.
Covid vaccines are free, safe and have been tested hundreds of millions of times. Getting vaccinated against COVID-19 is very easy on a walk-in basis with no wait, or by appointment at myturn.ca.gov. It can be taken care of quickly and easily during a drive-through clinic at public health on Breslauer Way Wednesday evening from 6PM to 8:30PM. They’ll administer a second dose of the Pfizer vaccine for those who got the first dose before May 20th and they’ll also be giving the one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
Tehama County has reported 5,708 cases and 59 deaths.
There have been 416 cases and 5 deaths in Trinity County.
2,382 have been reported in Siskiyou County with 37 deaths.
Butte County has reported 190 deaths among their 12,118 cases.
Lassen County has had 21 deaths among their 2,160 cases in the community and 2 deaths among the 3,608 cases in prison.
Humboldt County has had 4,390 cases and 46 deaths.
Modoc County has had 526 cases and 4 deaths.
