Shasta County Reports 2 More COVID-19 Deaths As Reopening Approaches

Two more Shasta County men have been killed by Covid, one in his 60s and one in his 70s, for a total of 232. Another 20 cases have been reported, as well as 888 negative tests. There’s been a total so far of 12,559 confirmed cases. An estimated 127 people have the virus right now; 17 are hospitalized and 5 are in intensive care.

The State of California’s color-coded tier system for Covid restrictions will end next Tuesday, meaning that Shasta County will end in the red tier

 

Tehama County has reported 5,713 cases and 59 deaths.
There have been 416 cases and 5 deaths in Trinity County.
2,385 have been reported in Siskiyou County with 37 deaths.
Butte County has reported 190 deaths among their 12,143 cases.
Lassen County has had 21 deaths among their 2,162 cases in the community and 2 deaths among the 3,609 cases in prison.
Humboldt County has had 4,408 cases and 46 deaths.
Modoc County has had 533 cases and 4 deaths.
