Grand Jury Finds No Accounting Issues With County’s Finances

The Shasta County Grand Jury has found no problems with the county’s books. The Board of Supervisors is required to conduct an annual audit of all county accounts by an independent outside contract auditor. The Grand Jury reviews that report every year and for the fiscal year that ended last June 30th, they found no exceptions or recommendation. In fact, Shasta County has, for many years, received awards of recognition for their accurate financial reporting. The entire Grand Jury report can be found at shastacountygrandjury.org.
