Only 32.8% Of Shasta County Residents Are Vaccinated As State Ends COVID-19 Restrictions

As the state abandons the Blueprint For A Safer Economy and it’s accompanying reports and restrictions, this will be the final daily KQMS Coronavirus update.

232 Shasta County residents have been killed by Covid. Another 19 cases were reported from Friday and Saturday for a total so far of 12,599 confirmed cases. There were also 1,045 negative tests. An estimated 117 people have the virus right now; 19 are hospitalized and 4 are in intensive care. 97 people in Shasta County have tested positive for variants. Two have been hospitalized and one died.

32.8% of Shasta County residents are fully vaccinated.

The Johnson & Johnson vaccine is available at a free clinic at Win-River Casino Tuesday from 1:30PM to 4:30PM. They’ll even give out $100 free slot play to those who get vaccinated. Another clinic at the casino will be held next Tuesday. An appointment form can be found at winriver.com.

There have been 417 cases and 5 deaths in Trinity County.

Butte County has reported 192 deaths among their 12,178 cases.
Lassen County has had 22 deaths among their 2,166 cases in the community and 2 deaths among the 3,609 cases in prison.
Humboldt County has had 4,434 cases and 46 deaths.
Modoc County has had 542 cases and 5 deaths.
