The Shasta County District Attorney’s Office is holding blood drive Wednesday as part of their Elder Abuse Awareness Month activities. Vitalant says they’re experiencing a “critical blood shortage alert” after donations in may fell 4,000 units short of the need. The drive is taking place from 11AM to 2:30PM at the D.A.’s Office at the corner of West Street and Shasta Street. Appointments are strongly encouraged, and they can be made at donors.vitalant.org or by calling 893-5433.
