A Redding man is wanted in the stabbing death of a man in far Northeastern Shasta County. Just after 5 O’clock Monday, deputies were sent to a home on Rosie’s Lookout Drive in the tiny Community of Dana. They found evidence of a fight inside the house, and 28-year-old Neilon Welch of Fall River Mills was on the floor dead. Detectives say the only suspect is 29-year-old Richard Lee Duvall the Second. An arrest warrant for murder has been issued and Secret Witness is offering a $5,000 reward for anonymous tips at 243-2319 or scsecretwitness.com. The Sheriff’s Office says Duvall is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached, but they’d like to hear from anyone who knows him. Duvall’s photo is on the KQMS Facebook page. No information has been released about a motive for the killing.
