A father of ten has died in a crash while the family was vacationing in Utah. Last Tuesday night, Louis Burkwhat was behind the wheel of the family’s SUV hauling a travel trailer on Interstate 80 in Tooele County when the trailer started fishtailing and struck a big rig. That caused the SUV and trailer to go into the freeway median and overturn. Louis’ wife Myra and 8 of their 10 children were hospitalized in Salt Lake City. The children range in age from 2 to 24 years. Burkwhat worked at Simpson University as the Associate Dean of Student Services. A GoFundMe account set up for the family has already far surpassed its goal of $50,000.
