The Shasta District Fair last week was very successful after missing a year due to the pandemic. There was a 24% increase in attendance over 2019. Of course, the carnival and other attractions were all just a sideshow to the livestock and agriculture events. The Junior Livestock Auction in 2019 brought in a record amount of money, but this year that total was almost doubled, adding up to $2,215,626. The animals were raised by 4-H and F.F.A. students from throughout the district.
